How release scheduling works
The dates are not arbitrary. They are what gives a record a chance of being heard.
At least 3 weeks before release
Singles must reach us with three weeks notice, EPs and albums with four. Earlier is better — it is the difference between a record being pitched and a record being uploaded.
Wednesday to Friday
Releases go out midweek to end of week, which is when playlists refresh and new music gets looked at.
Release day
Audio and video land together, with the metadata, artwork and credits already checked.
